RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Chronology of early solar system processes using extinct radionuclides.
  • Understand the Early Earth silicate differentiation in searching isotopic anomalies of the 146Sm-142Nd short-lived chronometer in a large variety of samples (Archaean basalts, ocean island basalts, kimberlites, carbonatites).
  • Compare the evolution of different parent bodies (Earth, Mars, Moon, and 4-Vesta) by coupling Sm-Nd and Lu-Hf.
  • Isotopic heterogeneities and evolution of geochemical reservoirs in the convective Earth’s mantle.
  • Geochronology

ANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT and INSTRUMENTATION

  • Development of perfect Nd purification for isotope MC-ICPMS measurements
  • Ultra precise Nd isotope analysis realized with MC-ICPMS (P54) and TIMS (Triton)
  • Fluent use of different mass spectrometers (TIMS, MC-ICPMS, and ICPMS) and ICPAES (major elements)
