Brenda's Pizzeria. Great spot for lunch with a great view! Plus, it is right next to Trader's Landing (Route 219). Cornish Manor Restaurant. A charming Victorian built in 1868. Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, run by a Frenchwoman and her husband.

Entrance to Swallow Falls State Park. Muddy Creek Falls at Swallow Falls State Park. It is the largest waterfall in the State of Maryland.

Beautiful Muddy Falls where you can walk on the slabs of rock above the fall. One of the oldest stations in the country, B&O Queen Anne-style Railroad Station in Oakland (1884).

Adventure seeker after a rainfall at Swallow Falls 3 triumphant kayakers.

A visit to the Simon Pearce Glass Factory. Beautiful view on Boy Scout Road.
Great place to take a long walk.
Be sure and visit the Visitor's Center on 219 before you get to McHenry to pick up brochures, maps, etc. One of several leantos, equipped with picnic table and grill on the Carnegie property.
