DTM director Sean Solomon received the American Geophysical Union’s (AGU) 2005 Harry H. Hess Medal at the AGU Honors Ceremony, held at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, December 7, 2005. The Hess Medal, established in 1984 and awarded annually since, honored Solomon, “For his outstanding and influential scientific achievements in planetary science, seismology, and marine tectonics.”
