Jianghui Ji Arrives to Work with Paul Butler Print E-mail
Wednesday, 12 July 2006

Jianghui Ji arrived at DTM in June for a six-month visit. He received his Ph.D. in astronomy from the Nanjing University in 1999, and he's been a researcher at the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since spring 2005. Ji’s research focuses primarily on the study of near-Earth asteroids and the formation and dynamics of extrasolar planetary systems.

During his stay at DTM, Ji will be working with Paul Butler on the analysis of high-resolution spectroscopic data to obtain stable orbital solutions for specific extrasolar systems, investigations on the statistical characteristics of extrasolar systems, the potential habitable zones of Earth-like planets among extrasolar systems, and terrestrial planet formation scenarios.
