Bonanos et al. Paper Highlighted in Nature Print E-mail
Monday, 21 August 2006

The work of Vera Rubin Fellow Alceste Bonanos and colleagues was called out in the Research Highlights section of the 17 August issue of Nature magazine for their determination of the distance to galaxy M33 from measurements of the variation in brightness of a pair of stars in a detached eclipsing binary. Their observation constitutes the greatest distance over which the binary technique has been applied.

The Astrophysical Journal preprint of the paper can be viewed by clicking here.
