Henner Busemann, a newly appointed Carnegie Fellow, arrived on the campus in July. After earning his doctorate in natural sciences from the Institute for Isotope Geology and Mineral Resources at ETH in Switzerland, Busemann remained at ETH for one year as a postdoctoral fellow and then moved to the Institute of Physics at the University of Bern, also in Switzerland. He will spend his time at DTM working with the Larry Nittler and Conel Alexander on microscale isotopic and chemical variations within interplanetary dust particles to understand processes in the very early solar system.
