Hubble Fellow Scott Sheppard arrived this fall to join the astronomy group. As an observer, Sheppard studied the nature of Kuiper belt objects and discovered a large number of irregular satellites of the giant planets. Sheppard will study our planetary system as well as extrasolar systems while at DTM.
