NAI postdoctoral research associate Margaret Turnbull arrived in October. Turnbull is interested in astronomically-detectable biosignatures on solar system and extrasolar planets. She also plans to gain first-hand experience with field biology sample collection and analysis through collaboration with the Australian Center for Astrobiology.
