The MESSENGER mission to Mercury's mid-December trajectory maneuver—which targeted the spacecraft toward its aim point for the first flyby of the planet on 14 January—went so well that the mission’s navigation teams have decided that another TCM, scheduled for 10 January, will not be necessary.
On 9 January, MESSENGER’s Mercury Dual Imaging System cameras will begin gathering pictures of Mercury as the probe zeros in on the planet. Over the next week, the team will make final flyby preparations and upload the final command sequences for the encounter.
For more information, see the APL press release. An article regarding the flyby, as well as a mission timeline can be found on the Planetary Society's Web site. Details on the flyby as they become available can be found on the Mercury Flyby 1 page of the MESSENGER Web site.
