Centennial Symposium
The public symposium took place at the Carnegie
Institution's Administration Building, in the Elihu Root Auditorium.
The symposium started at 1:00 pm and ended at 5:00 pm, with a 15 minute break, and featured four Centennial Lectures. The lecturers were introduced by the Carnegie Institution's President, Richard A. Meserve,
and by the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism Director, Sean C.
Solomon.
