• My Wedding On October 5, 2002, my wife Alexandra and I got married in Georgetown, here in DC. We had a great time and an awesome honeymoon, with plenty of pictures.
• England-2006, EuroWD 2006: In August of 2006, I travelled to Leicester for a conference on white dwarfs. It happened to coincide with the uncovering of a terrorist plot in Britain to blow up planes. It was an interesting flight back, mitigated by being bumped up to business class and an obvious flight marshall presence. I also got to help Leicester police catch a guy who broke into a car right in front of me. The last day or two of my trip was spent walking around London and going to various museums.
