 Photo courtesy EGU. | Former postdoctoral fellow Maud Boyet, now at the Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans, Clermont-Ferrand, France, has been chosen by the European Geosciences Union (EGU), along with four other researchers, to receive an Outstanding Young Scientist Award, given annually to scientists under the age of 35 who have displayed significant scientific achievements in the geosciences field. The awards will be presented at next week's EGU General Assembly in Vienna, Austria. According to the EGU Web site, Boyet was chosen for her work in "successfully unlocking geochemical secrets of the Earth's early mantle development and evolution by 142Nd."
