On January 26, 2012, Roy J. Britten passed away at the age of 92. Britten joined DTM in 1951 as a member of our biophysics group.  In 1971 he began his association with Caltech as a research associate (later "Distinguished Carnegie Senior Research Associate") in molecular biology.
