Chester G. Fuson’s personal reminiscences and photographs documenting a 10-month magnetic survey from Beijing, China, to Bombay, India, in 1909 were donated to the DTM Archives by his son, William M. Fuson of Richmond, IN. The elder Fuson was a professor of history and geography at Lingnan University, Guangzhou, China (formerly known as Canton Christian College) and served as Chief Assistant on the expedition, which was lead by DTM magnetic observer Don Sowers.
