Elliot Delivers Tuve Lecture

James Elliot, Merle A. Tuve Senior Fellow, delivered the Tuve Lecture on 5 April entitled "Exploring the Outer Solar System with Stellar Occultations." During the presentation, Elliot discussed how stellar occultations by outer solar system bodies have been used to discover and characterize planetary rings and atmospheres. He went on to describe occultations by small icy bodies, including Pluto, Charon, Chiron, and Triton and the telescopes used to view them.
