BBR Campus to Host Author James Lovelock
Monday, 04 September 2006 19:00

Carnegie is joining forces with bookstore and coffeehouse Politics and Prose, to host James Lovelock, author of The Revenge of Gaia (Basic Books, $25) in the newly completed David Greenwalt building for a book-signing and talk on September 8, starting at 7 p.m. The Politics and Prose newsletter states, "While working for NASA in the '60s, Lovelock formulated the Gaia hypothesis, postulating that the Earth functions as a super-organism. He recently made a stir in the environmentalist community with his pro-nuclear power stance. Lovelock is ahead of the curve once again with his take on the current state of the planet."
