Carnegie Fellow Lara Wagner joined DTM in November. Her current research focuses on understanding the role of fluids in subduction zone processes. Her dissertation work at the University of Arizona used seismic tomography to study the mantle in central Chile and Argentina above a region of flat-slab subduction. While at Carnegie, Wagner plans to work with Paul Silver and David James on broadening her research focus to include mantle and crustal dynamics in Tibet.
