Bob and Vera at the 2004 NAS Awards Ceremony. | Robert Rubin, husband of Senior Fellow Vera Rubin, passed away on 18 January. A service was held at Temple Sinai in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, 23 January, with many DTM employees in attendence. A physicist, Rubin received his Ph.D. at Cornell University, and held positions at the National Institute of Standards and Technology--formerly the National Bureau of Standards--and the National Institutes of Health.
