DTM was represented as geoscientists from universities, industry, government agencies, and research institutes gathered in Denver, Colorado, on October 31 - November 3 for the 122nd Annual Meeting and Exposition of the Geological Society of America. Among the more than 3,700 technical presentations given in oral and poster formats, DTM's Paul Butler reviewed the history of extrasolar planet research in a session on "Exploring for Life in the Cosmos: Celebrating Five Decades of Astrobiology." Campus librarian, Shaun Hardy, participated in the Geoscience Information Society's meetings and discussion forums, which dealt with topics ranging from digital libraries and information portals to geoinformatics and e-science.
