Fifteen DTM staff members and fellows will present their research at the 2010 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting, which begins today in San Francisco, California. Attendees from DTM include Chin-Wu Chen, Richard Carlson, Steven Golden, Erik Hauri, David James, Byron Kelly, Alan Linde, Larry Nittler, Wendy Nelson, Jonathan O’Neil, Deborah Smith, Daoyuan Sun, Steven Shirey, Selwyn Sacks, and Sean Solomon.
The week was kicked off last night by the fourth annual Carnegie Institution reception for alumni and friends hosted by three Carnegie departments: DTM, the Geophysical Laboratory, and the Department of Global Ecology.
At the AGU Honors Ceremony to be held this Wednesday, DTM’s Steven Shirey will be named a Fellow of AGU, joining other Fellows who have “made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the geophysical sciences, to the service of the community, and to the public’s understanding of science.”
