Under a scorching sun, the DTM Dynamos outscored the GL Pistons in the summer 2011 Mud Cup match held on 28 July. The game was played at the Candy Cane City soccer field off Beach Drive in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Prior to the match, GL Piston Andrew Steele led a moment of silence in memory of DTM Dynamo Michael Wevrick, who passed away on 23 July.  Mike was the spouse of former DTM staff scientist Sara Seager.

Thanks go to team captains Guillem Anglada Escudé (DTM) and Dina Bower (GL) for all their organizational and coaching efforts, as well as directors Sean Solomon and Russell Hemley for their support in hosting a pizza celebration back on campus.
