October 18-21, 2009 HLP Special Session

GSA Topical Session 131 on "Intraplate Magmatic Growth and Tectonic Modification of a Continent: Case Study in the Pacific Northwest" will bring together workers interested in the tectonic and magmatic evolution of the HLP. The topical session is held in conjunction with the field trip "Geological and geophysical perspectives on the magmatic and tectonic development of the northwest Basin and Range" led by Anita Grunder, Andrew Meigs, Kaleb Scarberry, Ray Weldon, Tim Grove and Rick Carlson. Abstract deadline is 11 August. Abstract submission forms available at http://gsa.confex.com/gsa/2009AM/index.epl.

Registration is open from February 2 to April 17 with the early-bird registration rate available until March 27. Abstract deadline is March 6. Student/Post-Doc Travel Application deadline is February 18.
