Recovery Figures: These pictures show the individual recovery images of the L5 Neptune Trojan 2008 LC18. The recovery images were taken several hours apart on August 22, 2008 at the Magellan telescope at Las Campanas, Chile. The stellar background is much worse in these recovery images because the object has moved out of the obscuring dark cloud that was targeted during discovery. Stellar confusion is a major problem and it took many images over several hours in order to observe the Trojan clear of any stars.
